EBT (Electronic Benefit Transfer) cards are used to administer financial assistance and food stamps in Vermont, and the Middlebury Farmers' Market has provided this valuable service since 2008. The EBT card, similar to a debit card, allows the user to access their 3Square benefits and other benefits electronically. Many farmers markets in Vermont today, and in other states, accept EBT cards. Your 3Square benefit will earn double the value at the Farmers' Market!

Customers who qualify for assistance can now swipe their EBT cards at the Middlebury Farmers' Market for produce, meat, dairy and baked goods.

  • Swipe your card

  • Receive tokens

  • Use tokens to buy market products

Our market also accepts debit cards.

How does EBT/Debit work?
